German Shepherd Throws A Tantrum When He Doesn’t Get A Second Helping Of Food
For the most part, our dogs are pretty chill animals. They’re not really fussed by a lot of things. My dog was always pretty calm. The only thing that would ever get her into a frenzy, was food. When it came to her regular mealtimes, she was known to circle the kitchen like a shark. She had this adorable habit of walking into the kitchen, sitting under one of the chairs at the breakfast table, then walking away if she wasn’t immediately fed – only to start the cycle again five minutes later. Then when my mom would feed her, she’d basically skate across the linoleum floors because she was running so fast.
All of our dogs have their own unique ways of letting us know that they’re ready for food. Some are more subtle than others when it comes to the mealtime reminder. For one German Shepherd pup named Apollo, he was not shy at all about letting his owner know exactly what he wanted. And what this precious pooch was after, was food. His hilarious antics were captured on camera by his owner, who was quite amused by Apollo’s attitude.
In the video, Apollo impatiently taps his food dish, alerting his owner to his needs. The brazen pup even stares his owner down as he does this. But the best part is, this wasn’t Apollo’s first meal of the day. He was actually being a little greedy goose who was asking for seconds!
The footage captures Apollo as he stands beside his bowl and continuously taps on his bowl with his paw, trying to get his owner’s attention. When it proved futile, the German Shepherd decided to ramp up his begging techniques. He then got more proactive by showing his owner the pantry, hoping that he’d get the hint and give him more food.
Apollo’s owner indulges the pup and opens up the pantry which prompts Apollo to whine as soon as he sees the food. That is when his owner asked the dog if he was hungry. Apollo let out a bark to confirm that he wanted food – even though he’d just finished eating. We’ve all been Apollo at various points in our lives, so perhaps that it’s that ability to relate to the pup that resulted in his video becoming so popular online.
