What Do People Think Of EasyDNA?
Personal Experience
I purchased an EasyDNA Allergy Test for my Goldendoodle Gary because he suffers from chronic ear infections. I wanted to make sure there wasn’t anything in his diet, contributing to the issue. The test was not hard to administer, and I received the results in about three weeks. The report was very easy to read and understand. I discovered that Gary had a strong intolerance to six items and mild intolerance to 16 more. Fortunately, none of those items are a staple of Gary’s diet. Still, I was surprised to find out that salmon, one of his strong intolerances, was actually the main ingredient in an allergy relief supplement I had been giving him to help with the ear infections! I stopped giving him that supplement right away. – Jeff B., Canine Journal

Positive Reviews
My experience was pretty good to be honest! I ordered my home kit online and it arrived promptly in plain packaging. Took my samples, sent them back and received back an easy to understand set of results. I had one administrative question for support and they responded quickly. – Isabelle N., Trustpilot 4/29/2020
I used Easy DNA to find out what my dog was allergic to, as he was constantly scratching and biting at himself. I had ruled out fleas, etc., and thought it may have been a food allergy. I ordered a kit online from Easy DNA, which was very easy and straightforward to do. It arrived a few days later, and all I needed to do was obtain a sample of my dog’s saliva and return it to them. I obtained the sample, returned it and received the food allergy results in a very timely manner. The communication from Easy DNA was good. On the whole, it was a very easy process and I now know exactly which foods I should not feed my dog. – Marlene H., Trustpilot 10/18/2018
Negative Reviews
Appalling service and the rudest representative I have ever encountered. I tried to order an inherited disease DNA pack for dogs unsuccessfully online. I requested 2 call backs which never happened. Jacqueline A., Trustpilot 9/26/2020
Sent off for a dog breed test, kit came out fast but took almost 6 weeks to get results, after emailing and questioning. Turns out our staffy cross is a st Bernard crossed with an Irish wolfhound……what a load of nonsense, don’t waste your money! – Sam S., Trustpilot 3/27/2018

What’s Our Final Verdict?
EasyDNA’s dog allergy test is a great value for the information you get in the results. However, it doesn’t test for as many allergens as some other at-home kits (although it does test for the most common ones). See your other options in our reviews of the best dog allergy test kits.
We also encourage you to share your results with your veterinarian so together you can come up with a plan to try to eliminate the offending substances from your dog’s diet or lifestyle. If it turns out that your dog is intolerant to certain food items, you’ll likely want to change your dog’s diet.
