DogSheetz Waterproof Dog Bed Cover Review and Test (Photos + Video)

Have you tried to wash a dog bed that doesn’t have a removable cover? It can be a real pain to try to stuff a bed into the washing machine. Whether you dry the bed in a machine or leave it out to air dry, it’ll never go back to its original shape. A DogSheetz Waterproof Dog Bed Cover saves owners the hassle of trying to wash the entire bed.

Every pet parent can use a quality dog bed cover. Between shed hair and all the dirt they track in, it’s impossible to keep your pet’s bedding clean. Dog bed covers are especially handy if your pup still has accidents or suffers from incontinence issues.

There are dozens of bed covers on the market, so how do you know which one to choose? As with most products, you get what you pay for when it comes to these products.

Cheaper dog bed covers are made with cheaper materials. Higher quality bed covers are easier to care for and fit a greater variety of bed sizes and styles.

The DogSheetz Waterproof Bed Cover comes in a few different sizes. The company claims that their covers offer a universal fit for any shape, style or brand of dog bed. DogSheetz Waterproof Dog Bed Cover Review

As the name would suggest, these dog bed covers are waterproof. They are also stain and odor resistant. If you’re shopping for a bed cover for a dog that has accidents, these are must-have qualities.

When you do need to clean the cover, it’s machine washable. They are made of 100% polyester. The sheet feels like a soft fleece material. As Molly demonstrates in my video review, our dogs really love curling up and snuggling in on these bed covers.

The DogSheetz Waterproof Dog Bed Cover is available in 3 sizes:

• Small – fits beds measuring 35″ or less
• Medium – fits beds measuring 36-50″
• Large – fits beds measuring 51-60″

If your dog’s bed is in between sizes, choose the larger size.

For rectangle or square beds with no walls, measure diagonally across the bed. Don’t forget to add a few inches to cover the sides of the bed so it will gather at the bottom, like the cover shown in the photo above.

For circular beds, measure the length across the top with a few extra inches for the sides. For dog beds with walls, measure from under the ground up the wall, then down the wall, across the bed then up the opposite wall and down the wall to the floor.

The only drawback that I can see to these bed covers is that they are only available in one color – grey. While this color will blend in with any home’s décor, some pet owners may want something with a little more pop. Hopefully the company will offer more color options in the future.

You can purchase one of the DogSheetz bed covers on Amazon for $38.95-$44.99, depending on the size that you need. That’s quite a bit more expensive then most dog bed covers, but it’s also higher quality than most others on the market.

The DogSheetz cover is thicker than most similar products. It’s also waterproof and very easy to clean. I do believe that this product is a good value for the money. It should last a very long time. In fact, it may even last longer than your dog’s bed.
