Brandon Ryan Rudowski must’ve done a double-take the day he saw a dog walking upright like a human. I know most of us probably would.
Brandon was in the car near his home in Canada when he noticed a fluffy black dog walking along the sidewalk. However, it wasn’t walking normally, instead, the dog was strolling along on its two hind legs as if it was o big deal.
“I have never seen this before!” Brandon shared with The Dodo.
The quirky little pooch wasn’t alone. In fact, it was closely accompanied by its owner who was walking her dog on a leash – completely unfazed by her dog’s human tendencies.
Naturally, Brandon reacted a little more like any of us would – he was surprised.
“I thought, ‘No, I’m just seeing things,’” he confessed.
And we don’t blame him.
If you don’t believe it, here is some proof:
I though for sure I seen this dog doing this the other day! Then I though no im just seeing things, here it is again today on video #socialdistancing
Brandon did indeed see a dog and not a small child wearing a dog costume. The reason we can say this with certainty is because The Dodo actually managed to get in touch with a woman named Colleen Susko. Susko happens to be friends with the dog’s owner and has confirmed that it is indeed her dog in the video.
Susko explained to The Dodo, “The dog’s name is Eli. He’s a miniature poodle. He’s always done that.”
She further confirmed that Eli’s walk isn’t a result of any form of training, but instead a personal quirk of his he’s always naturally done with he gets excited.
Regarding Eli’s owner, we can only imagine that she’s used to her fair share of confused or even bewildered looks from people in public. But as Susko says, it’s no cause for change.
Susko said, “She doesn’t mind, so she never stopped him from doing it. He does it often. [But] he does still walk on all four legs, too. He’s a sweetie!”
