Police Rescues ‘Smartly Dressed’ Pooch From Intoxicated Owner

The British Transport Police (BTP) rescued a ‘smartly dressed’ dog from its intoxicated owner who was “not adequately caring for her dog” on August 18, Friday.

The dog, according to BBC, was recovered at Wolverhampton railway station after BTP received a text report regarding its owner.

The BTP posted a photo of the pooch sitting on the passenger seat of a police van and peering out the window while wearing a blue shirt.

“Officers attended and ensured the welfare of the dog whilst further enquiries are ongoing to establish any offences,” the BTP tweeted.

Twitter users can’t help but notice the dapper dog’s photo. One user wrote, “Did you dress the dog up just for the photo?” which the BTP replied with, “Can confirm the fashion crime was not our doing!”

Another user wrote, “I do hope the police officer in blue T-shirt is wearing seat belt LOL”

“How do I report a crime? That shirt is a fashion crime,” another user quipped.

Currently, the BTP confirmed that the dog, identified as Mia, is in good condition and is being taken care of by the owner’s family while their inquiries are ongoing.
